On many performance notebooks there can be both and integrated and a discrete graphics solution. On devices such as the M11x the discharge time is dramatically different depending on which card is enabled, 2-3hrs on discrete and 5-7hrs on integrated. Battery bar of course cannot discern which one is currently active, and therefore it cannot make accurate predictions for time until empty.

I just upgraded to 3.5.2 from 3.5.1 and BatteryBar seems to disappear (Win7 Pro x64) after about 1 minute of use while on battery power... The taskbar real estate is taken but the only way to bring BatteryBar back is to right-click the taskbar, Toolbars, uncheck BatteryBar, then do it again to check it. (But doing that causes it to disappear again in ~1 minute)...

I always forget in which power plan is currently set, so I'd like to see it in the battery display, ideally with a given icon/color.

Sometimes my tray grows by programs and BatterBar taskbar gadget moved right, but never move left back itself. And it cannot be moved by hand. See screenshot of my taskbar: http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/6667/20111207114256.png

Enable the floating toolbar to be adjusted in size and eliminate any trace of a "mazimize window" option. Just got the new Microsoft Touch mouse and it found a way to maximize the battery bar... now I can't shrink it back down, can't figure out how to un-install and then re-install it, and am overall frustrated at the moment. Great app though!

Batterybar pro update to 3.5.4 not working. BatteryBar is not shown and i receive a notice, that saved data can not be shown. I had to set my system back, to get Vers 3.5.2 working again and stopped automatic update. Please hold me informed about any solution to above problem.

Another similiar software is called BatteryCare does the same work, and it's free (even better than yours, it have a functionality to turn off less important Vista/7 services during the battery use).

when on battery it'd be great to be able to select additional services to "suspend" when on battery to prolong battery life. Interestingly not many AV programs suspend drive scanning (as opposed to Active Monitoring) when on battery.
Further, windows search content indexing continues to run when on battery.
So a battery/power tool which has an "advanced services management" feature would be great also.

When you plug in A/C, the popup warning automatically dissappears. When 100% charged, and you remove A/C, you must manually X out the warning. Would be good if it dissappeared automatically.

It would be nice if BatteryBar could show separate statistics for the 2 batteries I have on my laptop. I have an HP EliteBook and two batteries connected to it all the time: the primary one and a "travel" high-capacity one. Now, when those are being charged BatBar shows the time for the charging of the first battery, and after that - the figure changes dramatically when the 2nd battery begins charging. Wouldn't it be better to have 2 vertical floating bars - one for each of the batteries present, instead of just one horizontal bar, which tries to incorporate both? It would be much easier to comprehend the information concerning the two batteries at a glance. Thank you.

I think it would be a god idea to add an option to access the native Power Options to (right click) context menu. I think some time users want to be able to access more advance options.

NVidia Optimus (and other similar solutions for systems with two graphics chipsets) is great at power saving. Almost every application I run just need the integrated chipset, which makes my battery last for up to 4:30 hours. The few times I use more graphics intensive apps (games/image editors), it enables my nvidia gpu, and my battery lasts for less than 2 hours. My Battery Bar history of consumption seems to be poisoned by this data, because even my battery lasting generally 4 hours, it shows it as 2 or 2:30. It would be nice if the program identified which GPU is being used to calculate the correct amount.

There could be two reasons for this. One, these is a bug in 3.5.2 that can cause the percentage to be calculated based on the Designed Capacity (see Battery Wear) instead of Max Capacity when fully charged. This is resolved in 3.5.3.

Another reason could simply be because your battery is wearing out and your battery stops charging at 91% capacity and the battery status reflects that information. One the battery recalibrates, your Battery Wear value will increase and your maximum capacity will go down so that what's now 91% will be 100% in the future.

New battery technology does not like to be fully charged or fully discharged. I spend a lot of time at my desk and during that time I would like to keep the battery cycling between two charge points ( 30-80%) to extend the battery life. It would also be cool if you could throttle back the charge rate. My system runs cooler (charges slower) when I use my old 65W power brick vs. the 90W. When I have the time, I go for cooler. After using remote desktop for 1 hour my battery expected duration went from 4 hrs to 4.5 hours, full battery lifetime was stuck at 4 hours. The full battery lifetime suddenly dropped from 5 to 4 hours after updating to the latest version

Suggest re-label "Full Lifetime" to "Full Runtime" (Lifetime being how many recharge cycles the battery will last, usually years/months vs. Runtime - how long the battery will run when fully charged). Just a thought for clarity.
