I suggest you ...

Add vista battery saver functionalities

I would definitely buy your program if you could add the following functionality (present in Vista Battery Saver but this software is a bit buggy and not maintained):
- switch to a predefined power profile when plugged in, on battery or when battery power fall under certain percent
- ability to deactivate Aero interface and Windows Sidebar when on battery

Automatic profile switching would be nice, because in Vista and W7, the "Power saver" profile turns off Aero transparency when runing on battery, but I don't like it's other presets when I am connected to AC, as I don't need to conserve power then.

In Windows 7 (can't remember if this is in vista or not), each power profile has separate settings for battery and AC adapter, so it does make changes automatically. I don't know how much this would complicate the implementation of this suggestion, just making sure Mr Thompson's aware of it. Really, people should be able to customise their profiles or make a new one so that it behaves as you want on battery and on AC power without having to change profiles.

(on another note, switching profiles in Win7's a total pain because in vista you could switch between your most recently accessed 3 profiles from the systray icon, but in 7 you can only switch between 2, even though there are still 3 predefined plans. a total pain if you regularly use more than 2. If we could manually switch from Batterybar, that would be nice although it may detract from the basic concept of the program.

Automatic power plan switching is must have. I created request with automatic power plan save myself (cause i could not find this one first).

I agree, having it automatically be on High performance when plugged in, and power saver when unplugged would be amazing. Or You could have the option to select the profile for each state. In Windows 7 at least you can set up the profiles so that, for example, in power save mode it automatically deactivates aero, so that's not something you would need to write in yourself...

I don't know about Aero and sidebar since i use XP, but the profile switching is a must-have!
